Flavio Maluf’s Achievement as the President of Eucatex
In 1951, Eucatex was established by the Maluf Family as a marketer and producer of insulation liners made from eucalyptus. For this reason, the company started conserving the environment at that first age. In the recent past, the company began producing furniture using this wood as one of an environmental conservative ways of production. Eucatex serves as an industrial construction company. Two segments are running the company. They include:
The Construction Industry: The company engages in the production of material supplied to construction companies in the country. They include doors, paints, partitions, and laminate floors.
The Furniture Industry: Eucatex is one of the largest producers of wood fibers with the latest technology to conserve the environment. The company also produces Tamburato and MDP. The company uses the most advanced technology to pursue their eucalyptus and technology trees.
The current president of Eucatex Group is Flavio Maluf. In 1987, he made his first appearance in the company as a worker carrying out his duties in the trade section of the enterprise. For more than one decade, he provided solutions to the company through his ultimate knowledge in the business world. For this reason, the company recorded a 30 percent growth in sales in the consequent years. For more than three years later, he went to work in the manufacturing section of the company. At this point, he worked to supervise and learn the various ways of manufacturing in the company. He also served through the development of machines whenever they went off. For this reason, his fellow workers loved him.
In 1996, his uncle invited him to join the Board of Directors of the company. He as very instrumental in determining the causes if business downtime. For this reason, the board recommended him for the presidency. After a collective agreement made by the family, he was elected as president of the company. He commenced his duties by modernizing the company. This was one of his best ways to foster accountability. For every worker in the company, they have someone to report. For this reason, every failure can be reported down to the cause. Therefore, productivity increased.
