Isn't it possible to survive all of the games before the face card games started?

I thought that all of the games were able to be completed with no deaths as long as everyone plays smart and works together. In regards to the heart game I thought there was a way for Arisu and his friends to survive it with maybe one casualty at best. But we know for the season finale everyone could've survived if they actually listened.
