I feel so free now

Learning to drive was exactly what I needed, I only passed on Monday and I feel so free and I’m so excited, and so grateful 🥲

There’s things that people who have driven for a long time take for granted, being able to leave the house when I want and not having to wait for an hour for a bus that probably wouldn’t show up anyway!! The other day I needed to go out after work but I didn’t bring a change of clothes - I just nipped home, got changed, had some food and then headed out again!! Like what?! It’s honestly mind blowing that I can do that!

I can go shopping and not be restricted by how much I can carry home on the bus! I don’t have to constantly check bus times! I can go home after work and have no plans in mind but then if I decide I wanted to out I can just… go! I don’t have to wrap up in a million layers just to leave my house, just get in the car and wack the heating on!!

I actually cannot get over it, I know the novelty will wear off soon but I’m sure as hell going to enjoy it while it’s still here!!
