Different kind of “boy mom” rant

I wouldn’t say this is a rant per se, but more of an observation. I have a 21mo boy and am expecting another boy in August. I don’t ascribe to any crazy boy mom identity other than being a mom to a boy, but I heard another mom post about how being a only boy mom, you are going to be likely secondary grandparent for any grandkids. You will be the MIL. Adult men are generally not as close with their moms as women are to their moms, and therefore we will miss out on a lot of their adult lives.

Everyone is different, and lots of women have strained relationships with their mothers so this is certainly super generalizing of me, and I’m probably in my pregnancy hormonal feels right now but I feel sad that I won’t be able to be there for a daughter in this way when she is an adult :(
