What the hell is a nest

There isn’t really a flair for a question lol, but I’ve played the game for years and I’ve never seen a nest, never heard of one until I was browsing the sky description in the App Store, It seems like a hangout place kinda, I think it’s different from the furniture you can place with spells but I’m not entirely sure lol, also no idea how to visit or make one
