Why is it suddenly trendy to demonize men?
I’ve been coming across a lot of posts thrashing men essentially for just existing. The “man vs bear” debate seems to have come back up and it’s starting to affect my real life too. One of my friends has been asking me questions pointing towards the implication that I’m going to assault someone. I asked her if that’s what she was implying, and she goes on an entire tangent about how men are dangerous and are unpredictable. She made a really jeering comment about how nobody knew Dhamer was doing what he was doing until years later, which is an absurd comparison. I hate being generalized like this, especially because she’s supposed to be my friend. I haven’t done anything creepy, I haven’t touched her inappropriately, and I haven’t done anything that would warrant me being lumped in with insane people. It’s starting to have an effect on my confidence as well because now I feel like I’m wrong for doing simple tasks. What do you think?
