Should I replace my Subaru? If so, with what?

That’s my 2021 Subaru Crosstrek Limited, and I really loved it for the first couple of years (bought brand new). But lately I’ve been just… over it and how it drives/handles. I live in a mountain town, and commute to the valley every day. You can see part of my commute in pic 3, to give you an idea of the roads I have to navigate.

The Subaru doesn’t handle those tight curves very well, and even with now THREE sets of expensive tires (currently Falken Wildpeaks), I feel like I’m constantly losing grip of the road. Also, I could use more power under the hood. This is the biggest/best engine of the Crosstreks @ 2.5L, but I feel like it struggles.

We don’t get much if any snow here, but do get a lot of rain and debris; plus I live down a street semi-paved road, so AWD or 4WD is a must. I also have two large furry dogs (huskies), so there has to be room for them + durable seats. Hybrid might be nice, given how much I spend on gas? Not a must, though, and electric is a no because of unreliable power sources here.

I own the Crosstrek outright, and it’s worth about $19K atm. Willing to put another $10K cash on top, maybe more, and I can go gently certified used. Leaning towards maybe Lexus or Toyota? I’d love a BMW for how they handle, but know from personal experience how expensive they are to maintain. Any ideas welcome, and sorry for the essay! 😁
